Dan McCarthy

Dan’s primary focus is the internal growth and operations of Compass East. Responsible for human resources, marketing, finance, and information technology, Dan has developed and implemented initiatives across the company. He has refined Compass East’s concise vision and values, positioning it to a targeted market. He evaluates talent and monitors trends in technology impacting the accounting field.

Dan provides strategic guidance as a client CFO and controller, helping clients make better business decisions. Using a process-driven approach, he leads accounting system implementations and reviews month-end close financials. Dan interprets financial and cash-flow projections giving clients insight into their business.

Dan is a former Treasurer and board member of The Phoenix Club of Nashville, a non-profit dedicated to benefiting disadvantaged youth in Middle Tennessee. He received his BSBA in Accounting with an Information Systems track from the University of Central Florida. When not at Compass East, Dan can be found on the mats training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
